See the latest progress on the maintenance and renovations at Saint Peter Middle School!

Progress is officially underway for the highly anticipated renovations and repairs to Saint Peter Middle School, thanks to the $10.965 million bond referendum approved by voters in April 2024. The project aims to modernize the middle school building to ensure it meets the needs of current and future students.

What has been done since the referendum?

Construction bids were awarded to contractors during the school board meeting on December 2. These bids cover general construction, fire suppression, mechanical, and electrical work.

  • General construction: APX Construction Group

  • Fire suppression: The Fire Group, Inc.

  • Mechanical work: Peterson Sheet Metal

  • Electrical work: BLK Electric, Inc.

The 2025-2026 academic calendar has been adjusted to begin after Labor Day, September 2. This change helps ensure there is ample time to install and calibrate new HVAC components before welcoming students back to school.

What’s Next?

Construction will be completed in phases, prioritizing projects that minimize disruptions to the school day while addressing the building’s most pressing needs. Current top priorities include replacing the middle school’s chiller, boiler, and HVAC system to maintain proper temperature regulation.
